About the Discussant
President of the Circle of Arab Economists
Mr. Adel Nassar is a well-established Lebanese lawyer. He studied law in the US, France, and Lebanon. Mr. Nassar is also a co-manager of the Raphael & Associés Law Firm. Mr. Nassar will be the discussant on the paper titled “Judiciary System” co-authored by Mr. Nizar Saghieh and Dr. Myriam Mehanna.Mr. Samir Aita is the president of the Circle of Arab Economists. He holds a DEA from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales and Institut National des Sciences et Techniques Nucléaires and from HEC Management (CPA-HEC). He also served as CEO for Framasoft and set up a consulting company in economics and information technologies. Mr. Aita will be discussing Dr. Majed’s paper, titled “What is so Deep about Deeply Divided Societies? Dealing with Lebanon’s Sectarian System”.
