The theme that was initially proposed to me for this paper was "Migration and employment". On the invitation, it says "Migration and labor", which is not exactly the same thing.
This report is based on my personal experience in the field of culture in Lebanon, in which I worked for more than 20 years.
Lebanon is one of the most unequal countries in the world. The first countrywide study of Lebanese income distribution took place in 1960 and revealed that the richest 4 percent of the population earned 32 percent of the national income.
